Aquí y Allá
March 3 - April 15, 2023, at Presa House Gallery in San Antonio, Tx.
For the second installment of Nuestra Artist Collective, we proudly present “Aquí y Allá,” the second exhibition curated by the collective. Nuestra Artist Collective was founded in 2021 by Tina Medina, Karla García, and Eliana Miranda, all based in Dallas, Texas. Our mission as a collective is to support and create projects and exhibitions that empower our voices as Xicana and Latina artists. The “Fronteriza” project focuses on women artists living in Texas who contemplate the U.S.-Mexico border through their art. Each artist brings a different perspective from uniquely personal experiences depicted in various media and techniques, such as ceramics, fibers, textiles, painting, drawing, photography, video, and performance.
Visit Presa House Gallery for additional information.
Participating artists are Michelle Cortez Gonzales, Melissa Gámez-Herrera, Karla García, Sara Herrera, Tina Medina, Analise Minjarez, Eliana Miranda, Tesa Morin, and Lupita Murillo Tinnen.
